Our Mission
The primary function of the Local is to represent the member brothers and
sisters in relations with the employer. The firefighting tradition is
hundreds of years old. As long as there have been firefighters we have
looked after each other like family. A firefighter watches his/her
brothers/sisters back at all times when emergencies strike. Our Union is a
natural progression in that has grown from looking after each other not only in emergencies
but at all times.
A major subordinate function of the
Local is the improvement of our community. We hope to raise funds for
those in need, provide services for those without and to generally improve the
lives of those we touch.
